TechOps / Application Support Manager

Job Description

TechOps / Application Support Manager required to take ownership of technical operations across a large-scale, multi-site technology estate. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining team management with direct responsibility for infrastructure, networking, monitoring, and operational support.

You'll lead a small team of engineers, drive operational excellence, improve monitoring and incident management processes, and act as the senior escalation point for complex technical issues. You'll also play a key role in the deployment and support of IoT devices, networking equipment, and edge technologies across distributed locations.

Key Requirements:

• 6+ years' experience in Technical Operations, Infrastructure, IT Support, or Field Engineering.
• Previous people management and team leadership experience.
• Strong networking knowledge (VPNs, VLANs, DHCP, DNS, firewalls, routing).
• Experience managing distributed technology estates and IoT devices.
• Proven troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Comfortable working with remote monitoring, device management tools, and CLI/SSH environments.
• Strong documentation, process improvement, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of cloud platforms, APIs, and operational data analysis.
• Jira Service Management administration.
• Microsoft 365 administration.
• ITIL certification.
