Trainee Account Manager

We’re recruiting for a Trainee Account Manager to join a well-established and growing business within the commercial catering sector.

This is a great opportunity for someone from a customer service, sales, account coordination or client-facing background who is ready to take the next step into Account Management.

You don’t need to already be an Account Manager – we’re looking for someone confident, organised, commercially minded and great with customers who wants to learn and develop.

The Role

• Build and maintain strong relationships with a portfolio of customers.
• Act as a key point of contact for customer enquiries and ongoing requirements.
• Prepare and follow up quotations, proposals and customer communications.
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure projects, services and customer requests are delivered on time.
• Handle customer queries and resolve issues professionally.
• Identify opportunities to grow and develop existing accounts.
• Support renewals, pricing reviews, upselling and cross-selling.
• Maintain accurate customer records, activity notes and pipeline information.
• Work closely with sales, operations, finance, procurement and service teams.
• Ensure customer actions and commitments are followed through from start to finish.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Confident and professional when dealing with customers.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good commercial awareness and an interest in developing this further.
• Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and learning CRM/business systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.

Previous experience within customer service, sales, account coordination, hospitality, commercial catering, facilities, equipment, construction or another B2B environment would be beneficial.
