Transport Shift Admin Clerk
Location: Knottingley
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Shifts Available:

• Monday to Friday – 14:00 to 22:00 – £13.21 per hour
• Monday to Friday – 22:00 to 06:00 – £15.91 per hour

We are currently recruiting for experienced and motivated Transport Shift Controllers / Transport Team Leaders to join a busy transport operation based in Knottingley, Wakefield. These are excellent temp-to-perm opportunities for candidates with strong transport, logistics, or operational experience looking to progress within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

• Support Transport Shift Managers with the day-to-day direction and control of operational resources to achieve performance targets
• Assist the Senior Transport Controller with driver management and debrief processes
• Ensure adherence to all operational procedures, company policies, and compliance standards
• Maintain service schedules and ensure all O Licence commitments are met
• Ensure reported vehicle defects are actioned immediately
• Ensure correct handling, security, and transport procedures are followed at all times
• Participate in relevant training and maintain knowledge of company systems and processes

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience within transport, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred
• Good IT skills and ability to use transport systems confidently
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Punctual, reliable, and professional attitude
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving ability
