Vehicle Technician - LCV & MOT Tester
Ipswich
Permanent
£29,000 - £36,000 per annum + Bonuses
Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
 
We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician - LCV & MOT Tester to join our client in Ipswich. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working on both cars and light commercial vehicles who is looking to join a well-established and busy workshop.
 
Main Duties

• Carrying out servicing, repairs and maintenance on cars and light commercial vehicles
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
• Performing Class 4 and Class 7 MOT tests
• Completing vehicle inspections and health checks
• Carrying out warranty and customer repairs to a high standard
• Using diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve faults
• Road testing vehicles when required
• Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and in line with workshop procedures

 
Skills and Experience

• Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
• Current Class 4 and Class 7 MOT Tester licence
• At least 5 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician
• Experience working on light commercial vehicles (LCVs)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Previous dealership or independent garage experience preferred
