Vehicle Technician – Wimbledon

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician or Car Mechanic to join an established main dealership in Wimbledon. Applicants must have previous workshop experience, hold a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, possess a Full UK Driving Licence and have the right to work in the UK. Experience from main dealerships or independent garages is welcome.

Job Details
Location: Wimbledon, South West London
Salary: £31,000–£41,000 basic, depending on qualifications
OTE: Up to £51,200 uncapped
Bonus: £3,000 Productivity Bonus plus Time Saved Bonus Scheme
Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays, 8:30am–12:30pm

Vehicle Technician Role

• Carry out vehicle servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards
• Complete vehicle health checks using modern diagnostic equipment
• Identify and carry out additional customer-authorised repairs
• Complete warranty repairs and relevant documentation
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults
• Road-test vehicles to confirm repairs are successful
• Maintain accurate job cards and workshop records

Vehicle Technician Requirements

• Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent – essential
• Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician or Mechanic
• Strong servicing, maintenance and mechanical repair skills
• Ability to work independently and maintain high workmanship standards
• Experience from a main dealership or independent garage
• Full UK Driving Licence – essential
• Right to work in the UK

Previous manufacturer-specific experience would be advantageous but is not essential, as full accreditation training is available.
