Job Description:

Transport Administrator – Nights
Pay rate: £16.85 per hour
Working hours: Monday to Thursday, 10:00pm – 6:00am
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

Pertemps Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join a busy warehouse and transport operation in Marchington. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and reliable individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and has strong administrative skills.
Working night shifts, you will play an important role in supporting the smooth running of daily transport and warehouse operations, ensuring that documentation is accurate and deliveries are coordinated efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the transport and warehouse teams.
• Prepare, check and maintain transport documentation and delivery records.
• Update computer systems and ensure information is accurate and up to date.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, colleagues and other departments.
• Assist with the coordination of deliveries and collections.
• Respond to queries and help resolve any administrative issues.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
• Support the wider team to ensure the smooth running of night operations.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in administration, transport or a warehouse environment would be advantageous.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Good communication and IT skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A reliable, flexible and proactive approach to work.
• Ability to work night shifts on a consistent basis.
