Metal Machine Saw Operator, Picker / Packer & Forklift Driver

Pay Rate: £13.50 per hour, increasing to £13.88 per hour after 3 months

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a Picker / Packer, Machine Saw Operator and Forklift Driver to join a busy and growing metal manufacturing company based in Yate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established manufacturing environment, with full training provided on the CNC machinery. Previous CNC experience is not essential, although any previous experience operating machinery or working within manufacturing would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be responsible for picking and preparing materials, operating machinery, assisting with production and ensuring products are handled and packed safely and efficiently.

Working Hours

There are two shift patterns available:

Morning Shift:

• Monday to Friday
  
  
• 06:00 – 14:30

Afternoon Shift:

• Monday to Thursday
  
  
• 12:00 – 22:30
  
  

Pay Rate

• £13.50 per hour to start
  
  
• Increasing to £13.88 per hour after 3 months
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and packing metal products and materials.
  
  
• Operating machine saws and assisting with the cutting of materials.
  
  
• Loading and unloading materials safely.
  
  
• Operating forklift trucks to move stock and materials around the site.
  
  
• Assisting with the operation of CNC machinery (full training provided).
  
  
• Checking products for quality and accuracy.
  
  
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
  
  
• Following all health and safety procedures.
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Previous manufacturing, warehouse or production experience needed.
  
  
• Previous machine operating or machine saw experience would be an advantage.
  
  
• A valid forklift licence is preferred; in-house forklift licences will also be considered.
  
  
• CNC experience is beneficial but not required, as full training will be provided.
  
  
• A good eye for detail and the ability to follow instructions.
  
  
• A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach.
  
  
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
