Job Description:

Location: Letchworth Garden City

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Typically 8:00am–5:00pm, with Thursday hours of 7:00am–4:00pm. Working hours may vary between 6:00am and 6:00pm depending on workload, with prior notice.

Salary: £25,396–£27,500 per annum, depending on experience

An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Warehouse Operative to join our client's successful and growing team.

Our client is a well-established manufacturing and supply business specialising in a wide range of packaging products, including corrugated cartons and bespoke packaging solutions. They are looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Operative to support their busy warehouse operations.

• Permanent, full-time position.

• Salary of £25,396–£27,500, depending on experience.

• 20 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.

• Workplace pension through NEST.

• Immediate start available.

• Receiving incoming goods, completing paperwork and checking quantities and quality.

• Loading and dispatching goods, ensuring items are packaged correctly and meet quality standards for safe delivery.

• Inspecting incoming and outgoing goods for accuracy, quality and damage, and quarantining non-conforming items where necessary.

• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment in line with health and safety regulations and PPE requirements.

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and helping improve warehouse processes and efficiency.

• Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial.

• A forklift licence for a pivot truck would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Physically fit and comfortable with regular manual lifting and moving stock.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

• Good computer skills and the ability to learn warehouse software quickly.

• Able to use your own initiative, apply common sense and work effectively as part of a team.

• A flexible, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic.
