Welding Team Leader - Cookstown
Full-time opportunity
Pay: Up to £21.00 per hour depending on experience

I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Welding Team Leader to join a busy and well-established manufacturing business based in Cookstown.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong production, welding or fabrication experience who is ready to lead a team, support day-to-day operations and help drive safety, quality and performance on the shop floor.

The role will involve:

• Supporting the welding team with daily production activities

• Scheduling workload, materials and priorities to meet targets

• Supporting the Production Supervisor with day-to-day operations

• Ensuring work is completed safely, accurately and on time

• Maintaining high standards of quality within the production area

• Liaising with other teams and departments

• Supporting continuous improvement across the team

• Applying high standards of 5S and lean manufacturing

• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times

The ideal candidate will have:

• Strong production experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

• Previous welding, fabrication or steel processing experience

• Good knowledge of steel fabrication, machine parts or steel processing

• Previous supervisory or team leader experience would be ideal

• Good problem-solving skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks at once

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication skills

• Good IT skills

• A positive, hands-on attitude

This role would suit someone who has worked as a Welding Team Leader, Fabrication Team Leader, Production Team Leader, Welding Supervisor, Fabrication Supervisor or Senior Welder/Fabricator.
