Account Manager
Barnsley - Hybrid
Up to £42,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus

The Opportunity:

Get Recruited are recruiting on behalf of a growing organisation within the education space. This is a relationship-led commercial role where you'll be responsible for developing key accounts, identifying opportunities for growth and building relationships with new customers.

This is a great opportunity for someone from an Account Manager, National Account Manager, Regional Sales, Field Sales, Area Sales, Business Development Manager or similar role.

We're looking for someone with strong commercial instincts, excellent relationship-building skills and the drive to identify and convert opportunities. Previous experience within the education sector isn't essential. What's more important is your ability to think commercially, understand customer needs and build relationships that deliver long-term growth.

The Role:

• Managing and developing a portfolio of key accounts
• Building strong relationships with senior stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to grow and develop existing customers
• Creating new business opportunities and developing prospective accounts
• Managing the full sales process from initial conversations through to renewal and growth
• Building and maintaining a strong pipeline
• Keeping CRM activity, opportunities and forecasts up to date
• Working closely with internal teams to support customers and drive commercial growth
• Attending industry events, conferences and customer meetings
• Travelling across the UK to meet with customers and develop key relationships

The Person:

• A strong background in account management, business development or B2B sales
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities, understand customer needs and drive revenue growth
• A proven ability to build relationships with senior decision-makers
• Experience growing existing accounts alongside developing new business
• Previous experience managing a national customer base and travelling across the UK would be a strong advantage
• A consultative and relationship-focused approach with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders
• Someone intelligent, commercially curious and quick to understand new products, markets and customer challenges
• A proactive, driven and resilient individual who takes ownership and uses their initiative
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgement and the ability to think strategically
• Someone organised, adaptable and comfortable managing multiple accounts and opportunities
• Flexibility to travel regularly as part of the role
