Duties of the Assistant Aftersales Manager:
- Support the effective management of the dealership’s aftersales operation
- Oversee service department activities to optimise efficiency and profitability
- Lead, motivate, and develop team members to meet departmental and business objectives
- Ensure high standards of customer care, resolving concerns professionally and promptly
- Build and maintain long-term customer relationships through excellent service and communication
- Proactively identify solutions to improve customer satisfaction and service quality
- Utilise available resources effectively to support dealership performance
- Provide technical guidance and support to colleagues
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, increased quality, and reduced inefficiencies
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, compliance, and customer care
Requirements of the Assistant Aftersales Manager:
- Proven experience as an Assistant Aftersales Manager, Service Manager, Workshop Controller, or similar leadership role within a franchised automotive dealership
- Strong knowledge of aftersales operations and service department processes
- Experience using Keyloop/Kerridge dealership management systems
- Track record of delivering excellent customer service and achieving operational targets
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Automotive technical qualifications such as NVQ, ATA, HFC, or equivalent are desirable
- Full UK driving licence with fewer than 9 penalty points
- Legal right to work in the UK
