Location: East Midlands, Northamptonshire, Corby
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Monday - Friday 7:30am - 16:30pm
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum + benefits package

A quality focused housing developer is seeking an Assistant Site Manager for a traditional new build housing development located in Corby. This role involves managing the site with the support and guidance of an experienced Site Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the project in accordance with quality, safety, and programme requirements.
Job Duties
- Support the Site Manager in the day-to-day management and supervision of the construction site, ensuring all activities adhere to company standards and health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and monitor subcontractors and labour resources to maintain efficient workflow and quality standards.
- Assist with the implementation of the site programme, ensuring timely completion of tasks and milestones.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, and compliance with project specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and site diaries.
- Facilitate effective communication between the site team, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the safe management of plant, equipment, and materials on site.
- Contribute to the resolution of site issues or delays, escalating concerns as appropriate to the Site Manager.
- Support the Site Manager in maintaining compliance with all relevant legislation, including construction regulations and environmental standards.
- Attend site meetings and provide timely updates on progress and challenges.
Required Qualifications
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) certificate.
- Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
- Valid First Aid certification.
- Full, clean driving licence.
Education and Experience
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction industry, preferably managing traditional new build homes.
- Experience working on new homes developments in a site management capacity.
- Understanding of site safety, quality standards, and construction methodologies.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong knowledge of traditional construction techniques related to new build housing.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to lead and motivate site teams effectively.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Proficient in site documentation and record keeping.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions
- Based on site in Corby, East Midlands, with occasional travel to other company sites as required.
- Full-time hours, typically Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work additional hours to meet project demands.
- Work primarily outdoors on active construction sites, subject to varying weather conditions.
- Use of personal protective equipment and adherence to safety protocols is mandatory at all times.
- Role involves physical activity, including walking, standing for extended periods, and occasional manual handling.
