Job Overview
Associate Fire Engineer job available across multiple UK locations, joining a technically focused fire engineering team delivering projects in the UK and internationally. This position suits an experienced fire engineering professional with consultancy experience, providing technical leadership across residential, commercial, education, healthcare, transport and infrastructure projects. Responsibilities include design reviews, quality assurance, project delivery, mentoring and supporting consistent technical standards.

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery across multiple fire engineering projects

• Oversee quality assurance and chair design reviews

• Mentor engineers and graduates across the team

• Manage technical and commercial project requirements

• Develop technical initiatives and support research activities

You will also maintain client relationships and contribute to standardising project processes, tools and technical outputs across the wider team.

Skills & Experience Required

• MSc or equivalent qualification in Fire Engineering

• Significant fire engineering or building services consultancy experience

• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations

• Understanding of RIBA project stages

• Chartered Engineer status or actively progressing towards CEng

You will need strong technical writing, communication and problem-solving skills, alongside experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.
