Job Description:

Business Development Manager

Inspire Resourcing are currently recruiting a BDM on behalf of our client in Chesterfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a market leading business. You can be based anywhere in the UK and will be expected to travel to meet customers, both in the UK & overseas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify, target and secure new business opportunities across UK and international markets.
• Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve sales and growth objectives.
• Build strong relationships with retailers, distributors, buying groups and commercial partners.
• Generate and manage a healthy pipeline of prospective customers through proactive business development activity.
• Lead customer meetings, presentations and commercial negotiations.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and commercial agreements.
• Work collaboratively with marketing to support product launches, promotional activity and lead generation campaigns.
• Identify opportunities to increase market penetration and expand product listings within target accounts.
• Analyse market trends, competitor activity and customer insights to identify new commercial opportunities.
• Attend trade exhibitions, networking events and customer meetings to represent the business and develop new relationships.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reporting and CRM records.
• Work closely with internal departments to ensure exceptional customer service and successful delivery of commercial projects

Requirements

• Proven experience in business development, field sales or account management within a B2B or retail environment.
• A demonstrable track record of winning new business and achieving sales targets.
• Excellent relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify growth opportunities.
• Experience presenting to buyers, distributors or senior stakeholders.
• The confidence to work independently while contributing to wider commercial objectives.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• A willingness to travel throughout the UK, with occasional overseas travel where required.
• A full UK driving licence
