Job Description:

Position: Business Development Manager – Solid Board Packaging
Location: Hertfordshire (Office/Field Based)
Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 Basic + Commission + Car Allowance

The business specialises in bespoke printed cardboard packaging solutions and has invested heavily in its manufacturing capabilities. 
Services include bespoke die-cut packaging, premium print finishes including foiling, embossing and laminating.
They're looking for a commercially driven sales professional to develop new business opportunities across sectors such as food, beverage, healthcare, cosmetics, e-commerce, retail and consumer goods.
This is a consultative sales role where you will work closely with customers to understand their packaging requirements and develop tailored solutions that add value to their products and brands.

Key Responsibilities:
•    Identify and win new business opportunities across the UK
•    Grow revenue and margin within both new and existing accounts
•    Build relationships with packaging buyers, procurement teams and key decision-makers
•    Manage the full sales process from prospecting through to quotation, negotiation and account win
•    Work collaboratively with design, estimating and production teams to deliver customer solutions
•    Conduct customer meetings, presentations and site visits
•    Attend relevant trade shows and industry networking events

About You:
•    Proven experience selling solid board packaging, folding cartons or printed packaging
•    Established contacts within FMCG, food, healthcare, cosmetics or retail sectors
•    Knowledge of bespoke manufacturing or value-added packaging solutions
•    Strong new business development skills
•    Commercially minded with excellent communication and negotiation abilities
•    Self-motivated with a consultative approach to sales
•    Full UK driving licence
