Mon – Thurs 7:30am-4pm
Fri 7:30am-1pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Director to join a well-established manufacturing organisation with a global customer base and a long-standing reputation for designing and manufacturing innovative engineered solutions.

Operating within a technically driven manufacturing environment, our client supplies bespoke mechanical and electronic products to customers across a wide range of industrial sectors worldwide. As part of their continued growth strategy, they are seeking a commercially focused Commercial Director to lead the sales function, identify new market opportunities and drive sustainable, profitable growth across both existing and emerging markets.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and forming a key part of the Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the commercial strategy, leading and developing the sales team, strengthening key customer relationships and identifying new product and market opportunities. Working closely with Engineering, Marketing and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the business, driving innovation and ensuring continued commercial success.

This is a high-profile leadership position offering the opportunity to influence business strategy, develop new markets and play a key role within an established engineering manufacturer that continues to invest in product development, technology and its people.

Skills & Experience Needed:

• Previous experience operating at Commercial Director, Sales Director, Business Development Director or Head of Sales level within a manufacturing environment
• Proven track record of delivering profitable sales growth through both existing customers and new business development
• Experience selling technically engineered or bespoke products and solutions into OEM or industrial markets
• Strong product and systems background is essential, ideally within sectors such as Access Control, Electronic Security, Smart Metering, EV Charging, Building Controls, Connected Devices, IoT or similar technology-led product environments
• Experience developing commercial strategy, forecasting sales performance and delivering against revenue and profit targets
• Strong leadership experience managing and developing high-performing sales and commercial teams
• Excellent customer relationship management and contract negotiation skills
• Experience identifying new market opportunities and working closely with Engineering on new product development
• Degree qualified or equivalent experience preferred
