Customer Service Advisor

Red Recruitment is recruiting a Customer Service Advisor to join our client's busy customer contact team on a permanent basis selling high net worth insurance solutions.

You will primarily deliver a consultative outbound sales experience, proactively contacting warm leads to understand customers' business insurance requirements and recommending appropriate insurance solutions. You will maximise every sales opportunity through effective questioning, objection handling and relationship building, while remaining flexible to support inbound customer demand when required.

Package for a Customer Service Advisor:

Salary: Up to £26,469.00 Per Annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent
Location: Birkenhead

Key Responsibilities of a Customer Service Advisor:

Proactively contact warm leads through outbound calling to generate new business insurance sales.

• Flex between outbound and inbound activity to support operational demand while maintaining excellent customer service.
• Complete detailed fact-finds to understand customers' businesses, operations and insurance requirements.
• Recommend suitable business insurance products tailored to individual customer needs.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer protection through appropriate cross-selling and upselling.
• Achieve targets for Gross Written Premium (GWP), conversion, Quality Assurance (QA) and Customer Satisfaction (CSAT).
• Explain policy features, benefits, exclusions and pricing clearly and confidently.
• Handle objections effectively and use consultative sales techniques to maximise conversion opportunities.
• Maintain accurate customer records and ensure all activity complies with FCA regulations, Consumer Duty and internal compliance standards.
• Deliver consistently high-quality customer interactions that protect and enhance the reputation of the business.
• Work collaboratively with underwriting, customer service and operational support teams to deliver excellent customer outcomes.
• Undertake any other duties required to support operational performance.

Key Skills and Experience of a Customer Service Advisor:

• Experience in outbound telephone sales.
• Proven sales experience with a strong record of achieving and exceeding targets.
• Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build rapport quickly and deliver a consultative sales approach.
• Strong objection handling and closing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple systems while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Experience working within a regulated environment or following structured compliance processes.
• Commitment to delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
• Attention to detail and ability to work within a regulated environment.
