Duties of a Diagnostic Technician:- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and servicing on a variety of vehicles, including electric models, with full training provided
- Carry out MOT tests in compliance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations
- Identify faults accurately using diagnostic equipment and implement effective repairs
- Interpret technical information and carry out repairs efficiently and accurately
- Conduct road tests to diagnose issues and validate repairs
- Diagnostic Technicians fit accessories and perform vehicle inspections on both new and used vehicles
- Work independently within a busy, fast-paced environment to deliver first-time fixes
- Adhere to health and safety, warranty, and company procedures
- Clearly communicate technical findings and maintain high standards of workmanship
Requirements of a Diagnostic Technician:- Full UK driving licence
- Minimum of four years’ experience working within a workshop environment
- Knowledge of routine servicing and mechanical repairs
- Strong diagnostic skills, with a Level 3 Technician qualification
- MOT accreditation or willingness to achieve it
- Honest, with high integrity and excellent team collaboration skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work within structured processes
- Committed to continuous technical development and learning as a Diagnostic Technician
