Job Description:

Electrical Project Engineer - HV Power & Substations

Our client is looking for Electrical Project Engineers to support the delivery of high-voltage power infrastructure projects across the UK. Working on substations, grid connections, renewable energy and data centre schemes, you'll play a key role in ensuring electrical installations are delivered safely, on programme and ready for energisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee electrical installation works on HV projects (11kV-132kV)
• Coordinate subcontractors and site teams to maintain safety and quality standards
• Review electrical designs, drawings and technical documentation
• Support outage planning, site access arrangements and safety procedures
• Carry out inspections, pre-commissioning checks and support energisation activities
• Manage progress reporting, materials, programme updates and as-built records

What We're Looking For:

• Experience delivering HV substation or cable projects within the UK
• Strong understanding of switchgear, cable systems, protection and control equipment
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
• Knowledge of DNO/TSO working practices, CDM and industry safety standards
• HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

• Authorised Person experience (11kV/33kV)
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• Substation entry competencies
• Experience on transmission or renewable energy projects
