Electrical Shift Engineer

Salary: Up to £48,000 + Benefits Package
Shift Pattern: Continental Shift Pattern – Days & Nights

The Role We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading Facilities Management provider at a flagship retail site on Oxford Street, London.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified electrical engineer to develop their career within a prestigious commercial environment, working as part of a highly skilled engineering team responsible for maintaining essential building services and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across electrical and building services systems.
• Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical systems and associated plant.
• Complete permits to work, logbooks and compliance documentation.
• Support and monitor subcontractors and specialist service providers on site.
• Monitor plant performance and respond to Building Management System (BMS) alarms.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, site procedures and client requirements.
• Respond effectively to electrical faults and building services issues as part of the shift engineering team.
• Maintain accurate records of planned and reactive maintenance activities.
• Provide a professional service while working within a high-profile, customer-facing retail environment.

• AHUs and FCUs
• Pumps, motors and associated plant
• Building Management Systems (BMS)

Requirements Essential:

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or Electrical Engineering.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Previous experience working within commercial building services environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience.
• Ability to work effectively within a shift-based engineering team.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Desirable:

• Previous experience working within a flagship retail, commercial or high-profile client environment.
• Additional electrical or building services qualifications.
• Experience with UPS, generators and LV distribution systems.
