Electrical Shift Engineer – Days Only

Location: City of London – Liverpool Street
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Shift Pattern: Continental Shift – Days Only, 7:00am–7:00pm
Sector: Commercial / Corporate Facilities Management

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join the engineering team at a prestigious large corporate building in the heart of the City of London, close to Liverpool Street.

This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified engineer looking for a days-only continental shift pattern, working within a professional corporate environment with excellent opportunities for training, development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across a large corporate commercial building.

• Respond to electrical faults and breakdowns, ensuring issues are diagnosed and resolved efficiently.

• Complete PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) in line with site requirements.

• Carry out regular inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment.

• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with relevant procedures.

• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and completed works.

• Work closely with the wider engineering and facilities management team.

• Support contractors and specialist engineers when required.

• Ensure a high standard of health & safety is maintained at all times.

Requirements

• Electrical engineering qualification such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.

• Previous experience working within a commercial building services / facilities management environment.

• Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.

• Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a wider engineering team.

• Good communication and customer-service skills.

• Experience within a corporate or critical environment would be advantageous.
