Engineering Manager

CONFIDENTIAL - ENGINEERING MANAGER
We are supporting a leading UK infrastructure and energy contractor with the appointment of an experienced Engineering Manager for a major HV transmission programme.
The position will initially be based in North West London, with travel to project and client locations as required.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the engineering and design delivery of major HV transmission and substation projects, working across the full project lifecycle from tender/FEED through detailed design and delivery.
The role will involve managing multidisciplinary engineering teams, external design consultants and OEMs, while ensuring design compliance, programme performance and constructability.

We are looking for candidates with:
Desirable Background
Candidates with experience delivering transmission/substation projects for UK network operators or their principal contractors will be particularly relevant.
Experience working with organisations such as National Grid, SSEN, SP Energy Networks or NIE Networks would be advantageous.
Qualifications
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be an experienced HV Electrical Engineer / Senior Engineer / Design Manager / Engineering Manager who has progressed into a position of multidisciplinary design and engineering responsibility.
They should be comfortable operating between technical design, consultants, clients, procurement and construction, rather than being purely design-focused.
Location & Travel
Base: North West London
Travel: Regular travel to project/client locations will be required.
