Estimator – High-End Residential Projects
Location: Oxfordshire

We are currently working with an established, family-run main contractor based in Oxfordshire who are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their rapidly growing team.

Specialising in high-end residential new builds, extensions, and refurbishments, our client has built a strong reputation for delivering bespoke projects to an exceptional standard across Oxfordshire and the surrounding areas.

The Role

As Estimator, you will play a key role within the pre-construction team, taking responsibility for preparing accurate cost estimates and supporting the successful delivery of luxury residential developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
• Analyse drawings, specifications, and project documentation
• Obtain and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Produce bills of quantities and cost plans
• Identify value engineering opportunities where appropriate
• Liaise closely with clients, architects, suppliers, and the wider project team
• Assist with procurement, budgeting, and project forecasting
• Work with modern systems and AI-supported processes to improve efficiency and accuracy

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Estimator within the construction industry
• Experience within high-end residential projects is highly desirable
• Strong understanding of new builds, extensions, and refurbishment works
• Excellent numerical, commercial, and analytical skills
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Proficient with estimating software and Microsoft Office
• Positive attitude towards innovation and technology within construction
• Must be willing to embrace the use of AI and modern systems within the role
