Executive Assistant & Commercial Coordinator

Abingdon, Oxfordshire | Full-time | Office-based with some flexibility | £45,000 basic + OTE £70,000

The Opportunity

We're partnering with a growing international manufacturing business to recruit an Executive Assistant & Commercial Coordinator to support its Managing Director and play a key role in driving commercial performance.

Operating across the UK, Europe and the USA, the business designs and manufactures bespoke furniture solutions for major brands within the hospitality and restaurant sectors.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Executive Assistant who combines exceptional organisational skills with strong commercial awareness. Far more than a traditional EA position, you'll work closely with the Managing Director and commercial teams, ensuring priorities are managed, sales performance is tracked, and key business initiatives stay on course.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the Managing Director's diary, inbox, priorities and travel arrangements across the UK and Europe.

• Produce weekly sales pipeline and forecasting reports using the company's CRM system.

• Develop and maintain scorecards and dashboards to monitor performance across sales, business development and product development.

• Prepare agendas, meeting papers and supporting data for leadership meetings, recording actions and ensuring they are followed through to completion.

• Proactively liaise with colleagues across departments to obtain accurate, timely information and maintain accountability for outstanding actions.

• Compile commercial data and supporting documentation for client meetings, proposals, presentations and board-level reporting.

• Help improve reporting processes, administrative workflows and the visibility of key business priorities.

About You

You'll be an experienced Executive Assistant who enjoys working in a fast-paced, commercially focused environment. You'll be comfortable supporting senior leadership while also working with numbers, reporting and business performance data.

You'll ideally bring:

• Proven experience as a Senior Executive Assistant, preferably supporting a Managing Director, Sales Director or another senior commercial leader.

• Strong commercial awareness and confidence working with sales pipelines, forecasts and performance metrics.

• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.

• Experience using a CRM system to extract, organise and report on commercial information.

• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and exercise sound judgement on behalf of a senior leader.

• A proactive, detail-oriented approach, with the confidence to chase information, challenge gaps and ensure actions are completed.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information.

Desirable Experience

Experience in B2B, hospitality or manufacturing environments would be advantageous. Familiarity with Power BI, advanced Excel reporting or additional European languages, particularly Italian or French, would also be beneficial.

Location & Package

• Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire

• Working pattern: Full-time, primarily office-based, with some home working considered

• Travel: Occasional visits to European offices in Italy and France

• Salary: £45,000 basic salary, with on-target earnings of up to £70,000
