Role: Field Service Engineer – UK Wide
Salary: £41,000 basic (£60,000+ achievable with overtime), plus company vehicle, mobile phone, pension, life assurance and additional benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm. Flexibility is required for overnight stays and occasional weekend work

We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable global machinery manufacturer seeking a hands-on Field Service Engineer.
This is a practical engineering role involving the installation, servicing, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery at customer sites throughout the UK. You will spend most of your time working directly on equipment, diagnosing faults and completing repairs, rather than managing people.
Responsibilities
Install and commission industrial machinery at customer sites
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance
Attend breakdowns and complete mechanical and electrical repairs
Diagnose faults and resolve technical issues efficiently
Support machinery upgrades, modifications and improvement work
Test equipment and ensure it is operating safely and correctly
Provide technical support during installations and service visits
Work alongside customer engineers, technicians and subcontractors
Complete service reports and accurately record work undertaken
Ensure all work meets company procedures and health and safety standards
Identify any additional repairs, parts or follow-up work required
Travel throughout the UK, including overnight stays when necessary
Requirements
A qualified Engineer, ideally through a recognised apprenticeship
Strong hands-on mechanical and/or electrical engineering experience
Experience working with industrial machinery within a manufacturing, production or engineering environment
Previous experience in maintenance, field service, installation, commissioning or machinery repair
Confident with fault-finding, breakdowns and planned maintenance
Comfortable working independently at customer sites
Good communication and customer service skills
A full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel throughout the UK and stay away from home when required
