Job Description:

Head of Sales & Business Development

This is a role for a senior sales leader who wants to own a whole region. You will set the Asia-Pacific strategy, lead the team delivering it and stay close to customers from first conversation to signed contract. Copello is recruiting on behalf of an engineering business working across defence and security.

What you'd be doing

• Setting the regional growth strategy, including priority countries, key accounts and routes to market.
• Leading, coaching and managing a team of business development and sales managers.
• Owning pipeline quality, conversion and revenue delivery through disciplined sales governance.
• Producing accurate multi-year forecasts and account plans for senior leadership.
• Directing sales input to bids and proposals alongside engineering, commercial and legal colleagues.
• Building relationships with in-country partners, customers and government stakeholders, and representing the business at exhibitions and trade missions.

What you'll need

• Senior sales leadership experience in defence, national security or similar government-facing markets.
• A record of leading teams to significant annual revenue and sustained multi-year growth.
• Full sales cycle success in APAC, ideally across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and the Pacific.
• Experience embedding CRM discipline and forecasting accuracy across a sales team.
• Confidence engaging senior military, government and commercial audiences, including where English is a second language.

Hampshire based, with two days on-site. Expect international travel with overnight stays as required. Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance.
