Health and Safety Officer
Salary up to circa £50,000
Hybrid with travel across Cumbria

Do you want to lead on CDM compliance and promote a proactive health and safety culture?

We are seeking a dedicated Health and Safety Officer to support property maintenance, compliance and construction activities across residential housing environments across Cumbria. This role involves working closely with frontline teams and contractors to uphold health and safety standards and ensure legal compliance.

The successful Health and Safety Officer will:

• Conduct site inspections, health and safety audits, and deliver toolbox talks to promote safe practices.
• Prepare and maintain pre-construction information and review risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring root causes are addressed and corrective actions are implemented.
• Advise operational teams and contractors on health and safety requirements, safe systems of work, and CDM compliance.

The successful Health and Safety Officer will have:

• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations.
• Experience conducting site inspections and audits in live environments.
• A proactive approach with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
