We are currently seeking an organised, proactive, and professional HR Administrator to join a busy and supportive Human Resources team within a thriving College environment in RM11.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and previous HR experience to play a key role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, compliance, and the day-to-day operations of the HR department.
The Role As HR Administrator, you will coordinate and manage all recruitment administration for both temporary and permanent staff while providing high-quality administrative support to the HR Team and Group Director of HR.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate HR records, supporting onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements, and assisting with a variety of HR projects and daily departmental tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinating recruitment administration from advert to appointment
- Carrying out employment checks including DBS, references, and qualification checks
- Issuing contracts and onboarding documentation
- Maintaining the HR Information System (iTrent) accurately
- Updating the Single Central Register and training records
- Monitoring sickness absence data and maintaining HR records
- Supporting new starter inductions and arranging staff onboarding processes
- Responding to HR enquiries professionally and confidentially
- Providing administrative support to the wider HR team and HR Director
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working within a HR or administrative environment
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
- Experience using HR databases such as iTrent (desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload effectively
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when handling high volumes of data
- The ability to work confidentially and professionally at all times
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- A good understanding of safeguarding, equality, and diversity principles
