Enrich Education Recruitment is working with a welcoming, two-form-entry primary school in Willesden looking for a confident and enthusiastic Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced KS2 teacher who enjoys delivering engaging lessons, maintaining high expectations and helping pupils develop the knowledge, confidence and independence they need as they approach the end of primary school.

The school is looking for someone who can take ownership of their class, deliver consistently strong teaching and contribute positively to a collaborative year-group team.

With two classes per year group, you'll have the benefit of working closely with a parallel class teacher, sharing ideas, planning and resources while maintaining responsibility for your own pupils.

The Role

As an Upper KS2 Class Teacher, you will:

- Take responsibility for teaching and learning within a Year 5 or Year 6 class

- Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the KS2 curriculum

- Deliver strong, well-structured English and Maths teaching

- Differentiate effectively for pupils across a range of abilities

- Challenge higher-attaining pupils and support those working below age-related expectations

- Adapt teaching for pupils with SEN and additional learning needs

- Assess progress and use this information to inform future planning

- Establish clear routines and positive behaviour expectations

- Support pupils in developing independence, resilience and confidence

- Work collaboratively with the parallel class teacher and wider KS2 team

- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families

- Prepare pupils for the academic and personal expectations of the next stage of their education

About You

QTS is essential for this position.

The school is looking for a teacher who:

- Has experience teaching within a UK primary school

- Has a strong understanding of the Upper KS2 curriculum

- Is confident teaching English and Maths at Year 5 or Year 6 level

- Demonstrates effective classroom and behaviour management

- Can adapt teaching to meet different abilities and learning needs

- Has high expectations for pupil progress and achievement

- Is organised, proactive and reflective in their practice

- Works well collaboratively with other teachers and support staff

- Can build positive relationships and create an inclusive classroom environment

Previous experience teaching Year 5 or Year 6 would be particularly valuable. Strong KS2 teachers with relevant experience in other year groups are also encouraged to apply.

Experience preparing pupils for KS2 SATs would be beneficial, particularly for a Year 6 position.
