Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher - Doncaster

Academics is recruiting an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher for temporary, ongoing supply opportunities across primary schools in Doncaster. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who enjoys preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school, supporting their academic progress and creating an engaging classroom environment.

Position: Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary, flexible ongoing supply
Pay: £130 - £190 per day (dependent on experience, training, qualifications and client rate available, paid via PAYE - no umbrella company fees, inclusive of holiday pay)
Start Date: ASAP or a date that suits you

About the Role

As an Upper Key Stage 2 Teacher in Doncaster, you will deliver engaging lessons across Year 5 and Year 6, helping pupils develop their knowledge, confidence and independence. You may support SATs preparation, identify areas for development and ensure pupils are ready for the next stage of their education. Opportunities may be available across a variety of Doncaster primary schools.

Key Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging lessons across upper KS2
• Supporting pupils with English, maths and SATs preparation
• Monitoring progress and adapting teaching to meet different learning needs
• Maintaining positive behaviour and an inclusive classroom environment
• Encouraging independence and preparing pupils for secondary school

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
• Experience teaching in a primary school, ideally within Year 5 or Year 6
• Good knowledge of the upper Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Confident classroom management and communication skills
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
