Languages Teacher (French, Spanish or German) - Northampton
Location: Northampton, Northamptonshire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent Preferred | Fixed-Term or Long-Term Supply Considered

Are you a passionate Languages Teacher who enjoys inspiring students to communicate confidently in French, Spanish, or German?

We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Northampton that is seeking to appoint a dedicated Languages Teacher from September 2026. The school is ideally looking to appoint permanently, although fixed-term and long-term supply arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive department where students are encouraged to develop confidence, fluency, and enjoyment in language learning.

• Teach French, Spanish, or German across Key Stages 3 and 4

• Deliver engaging lessons that develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills

• Promote cultural awareness and enthusiasm for language learning

• Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that support progress for all learners

• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform next steps

• Contribute to curriculum development within the Languages department

• Support enrichment activities and wider school initiatives where appropriate

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent

• Specialism in French, Spanish, or German

• Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for languages and culture

• Ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities

• Effective classroom management and communication skills

• A collaborative approach and commitment to supporting student success
