TeacherActive is proud to be working with a specialist SEND school based in Bath (BA2), who are looking to appoint a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA). Rooted in nurturing, inclusion and empowerment, the school adopts a trauma-informed approach to help students who have struggled in mainstream education re-engage with learning, rebuild their confidence and successfully transition into future placements.

The school is looking to take on a full-time, temporary Learning Support Assistant (LSA) from September. The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will support students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, working on a one-to-one basis, in small groups and within the classroom to promote engagement, positive behaviour and academic progress.

The successful Learning Support Assistant (LSA) will have:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly SEMH

• A patient, calm and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs

• Strong behaviour management and communication skills

• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

• A proactive, flexible and enthusiastic attitude

• A genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential
