Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced MOT Technician to join our client's busy automotive service centre in Salisbury.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated MOT Technician looking to advance their career within a reputable, expanding company. Our client, a leading UK tyre retailer and service centre group, is committed to providing high-quality vehicle care and developing their team’s skills.

Benefits:

• Salary is between £34-36,000 per annum, negotiable pending experience, plus bonuses earned (roughly £3,600 per annum). Monthly performance-related bonuses
• 42.5-hour working week over five days, Monday to Friday, with an alternating Saturday rota (1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am-4:00pm)

Duties of a MOT Technician:

• Carrying out MOT tests on customer vehicles in accordance with Ministry standards
• Diagnosing faults and performing repairs and servicing as required
• Providing support to the workshop team with various technical and customer-related tasks
• Occasionally assisting at the front reception with customer enquiries
• Producing high-quality workmanship within set timeframes of a MOT Technician
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and workshop procedures

Requirements:

• Valid and active MOT licence
• Proven experience as an MOT Technician
• UK driving licence with minimal points
• Strong mechanical knowledge of various vehicle makes and models
• Ability to deliver precise, high-quality work under time constraints
• Friendly and approachable manner, with good communication skills
• Team-oriented attitude and commitment to workshop efficiency
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to customer service excellence
