Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Yolk Recruitment is supporting an established manufacturing business in the search for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their maintenance team working on a 2-shift pattern. This opportunity offers the chance to join a busy production environment where reliability and continuous improvement are key.

In this role, you will:

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across manufacturing and production equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults, and restore equipment efficiently.
• Maintain and repair a wide range of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Fault find on PLC-controlled systems and automated machinery.
• Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Assist with machinery improvements, installations, and commissioning projects.
• Drive improvements in equipment reliability and production performance.
• Complete maintenance records and engineering documentation accurately.
• Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maximise efficiency.
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards.

What You'll Bring:

• Time-served Maintenance Engineer with either an electrical bias or strong multi-skilled capability.
• Experience within manufacturing, heavy industry, automotive, , FMCG, or similar industrial environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience working with drives, inverters, control systems, and PLCs.
• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a maintenance team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Working Hours:

Current 2-shift pattern:

• Early Shift: 06:00 - 14:00
• Late Shift: Rotating afternoon shift

There is potential for the site to introduce a 3-shift pattern in the future, including night shifts, attracting an enhanced shift premium.
