Working Hours:

• 6-week cycle:
  • 1 week working at the Scotland Plant (on call)
  • 1 week working at the Gateshead Plant (on call)
  • 4 weeks working at Gateshead Plant (standard)

The Job You’ll Do:

• Attend and rectify electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance across plant equipment.
• Fault find and repair electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Service and maintain machinery including conveyors, motors and gearboxes.
• Change bearings, motors, gearboxes, conveyor belts and associated components.
• Calibrate, inspect and test plant equipment.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Carry out fault finding on three-phase electrical systems.
• Keep management and operational teams updated on maintenance progress.
• Participate in the on-call rota and Scottish site rotation.

About You:

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years' engineering maintenance experience.
• Electrical bias or strong multi-skilled background.
• Experience using electrical testing equipment
• Strong fault-finding skills on electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
• Experience working with three-phase electrical systems.
• Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
