Business Development Manager

Permanent

Location: Solihull (Two days per month on site)

Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 plus up to double salary OTE + £4,000 Car Allowance

I am working with on of the country's leading providers of Network Solutions to some Britain's biggest and most well-known organisations. For over 20 years they have delivered outstanding networking, security and connectivity solutions which has given them a fantastic reputation. Their "customer first" approach combined with their commitment to innovation, nurturing talent and technical know how mean that they are continuing to grow and, as a result, they are now looking for an Business Development Manager to join their team

So, if you're an experienced Business Development Manager who has specialised in LAN/WAN solutions, has sold into enterprise level end customers and take great pride in you ability to build strong and long-lasting relationships then this may well be the perfect opportunity for you.

The Role

• Grow existing accounts by spotting gaps, identifying new opportunities and introducing additional services where they genuinely add value.
• Build strong relationships with key decision makers, understand what matters to them and become a trusted partner rather than just another supplier.
• Sell solutions around WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi and Security by understanding the customer's challenges and matching them with the right technology.
• Build a healthy pipeline through a mix of existing account development and targeted new business activity.
• Win new customers by identifying the right prospects, opening doors and turning opportunities into long term accounts.
• Deliver against revenue, gross margin, account growth and new business targets.
• Take ownership of your pipeline, keeping CRM information up to date and maintaining realistic, accurate forecasts.
• Work closely with Account Management, Marketing, Solution Architecture, Product and Commercial teams to build the right solutions and win business. You'll have the freedom to manage your own accounts and opportunities, with plenty of support around you when you need it.

Experience Required

• 3+ years' B2B business development or new-business sales experience, with at least 2 years selling complex Managed WAN & LAN solutions
• Experience working within an MSP environment, ideally with technologies from vendors such as Cisco and Extreme
• A proven track record of cross-selling and upselling existing customers, as well as winning new logos
• Strong prospecting, networking and senior stakeholder engagement skills Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate customer challenges into technical solutions
• A solid understanding of LAN, WAN and WLAN
• Experience using CRM systems such as Zoho, with disciplined pipeline and opportunity management
• Strong negotiation, discovery and closing skills and the commercial drive to hit targets without sacrificing customer relationships
• Most importantly, you'll be someone who takes ownership, asks good questions and wants to win.
