Recruitment Consultant – Construction

Location- Cheshire 

Hybrid 3 Days a week offered 

Salary- £40,000- £45,000

Commission- No threshold, uncapped commission with a minimum of 15% of billings 

Employment Type- Permanent / Full-time

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and driven Recruitment Consultant to join our growing construction recruitment team.

You will be responsible for developing relationships with clients and candidates across the construction sector, identifying new business opportunities, and managing the full recruitment process from initial contact through to placement.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with recruitment experience who wants to build a successful career within a specialist and fast-paced construction recruitment environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with construction clients and candidates.
• Source, screen and interview candidates for construction vacancies.
• Manage the recruitment process from initial brief through to successful placement.
• Generate new business through calls, networking, referrals and business development activity.
• Identify opportunities to grow existing client accounts.
• Build and maintain a strong candidate network within the construction sector.
• Negotiate fees, salaries and terms with clients and candidates.
• Keep accurate records of candidates, clients and vacancies using our CRM.
• Stay up to date with construction industry trends, skills shortages and market conditions.
• Meet and exceed individual and team revenue and activity targets.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced in recruitment, ideally within construction, engineering, property or another related sector.
• Confident, driven and commercially minded.
• Comfortable developing new business and making outbound calls.
• A strong communicator with excellent relationship-building skills.
• Target-driven and motivated by financial success.
• Organised and able to manage multiple vacancies and priorities.
• Resilient, proactive and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A team player who enjoys working towards shared goals.

Construction recruitment experience is preferred, but we will also consider ambitious recruiters from other sectors with a strong track record.
