Technical Sales Engineer Precision Engineering

Field Based Hybrid Bedfordshire

Salary £70,000 to £75,000 plus car allowance and bonus

The Company

An established and highly respected precision engineering business specialising in the manufacture of high precision 5-axis CNC machined components for demanding engineering applications.

The Role

•A Technical Sales Engineer is required to drive sales growth across the UK. This Technical Sales Engineer role combines account management with new business development and offers full ownership of a defined territory.

•You will be responsible for selling precision machined components into sectors including aerospace, medical, electronics, scientific research, industrial and automotive. The Technical Sales Engineer will be supported by an internal engineering team who provide technical input, quotations and costings.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop and grow sales of precision CNC machined components as a Technical Sales Engineer

•Manage existing customer accounts while generating new business opportunities

•Sell directly to design engineers and technical decision makers

•Identify opportunities across both high specification and mid complexity sectors

•Manage the full sales process from enquiry through to order placement

Requirements

•Experience in a Technical Sales Engineer role or similar technical sales position within CNC machining, subcontract machining or precision components

•Proven track record in new business development and account management

•Experience selling to engineers and technical stakeholders

•Strong knowledge of manufacturing and machining processes

•Ability to work independently in a field-based Technical Sales Engineer position

•Excellent communication and relationship building skills
