Sales Executive

Service Sales Executive – HVAC / Building Services
Location: UK-wide
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent
Industry: HVAC / Building Services / Engineering
Are you an experienced sales professional with a background in HVAC, building services or technical engineering, and a proven track record of selling service contracts, maintenance agreements or lifecycle solutions?
This is not a traditional account management role. You will be responsible for building the market and developing the customer base across the UK, identifying new opportunities, meeting customers face-to-face and establishing long-term relationships that generate recurring service revenue. You will have the freedom to develop your own territory and customer network, supported by an established technical and service operation.
We are looking for someone who understands that selling service is different from selling a one-off product or project. You will be comfortable talking to customers about their existing systems, maintenance requirements, repairs, upgrades and longer-term lifecycle needs, and able to turn those conversations into commercial opportunities.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing service sales activity across the UK, working with customers to identify opportunities for:
A key part of the role will be getting out to meet customers, developing new relationships and understanding their requirements. You will need to be comfortable managing your own diary and travelling throughout the UK to meet customers and develop opportunities.
You will also work closely with internal service, engineering, technical and commercial teams to make sure opportunities identified with customers can be delivered effectively.
This is a role where you will have the opportunity to build and develop the service sales function, rather than simply manage an established sales territory.
What We're Looking For
You will ideally have experience selling service contracts, maintenance agreements or lifecycle services within one of the following environments:
You should have a proven track record of developing customer relationships and identifying commercial opportunities.
We're particularly interested in people who understand the importance of developing a customer relationship beyond the initial installation or project and who have experience turning reactive service requirements into longer-term service agreements.
You will need to be:
The Person
This role would suit an experienced Service Sales Executive, Service Sales Engineer, HVAC Sales Manager, Building Services Sales Manager, Service Account Manager, Maintenance Sales Manager or Technical Sales Manager who wants a role with genuine UK-wide responsibility.
You may currently be working for an HVAC contractor, building services company, M&E business, facilities engineering provider, equipment manufacturer or technical engineering organisation.
The important thing is that you understand the sector and have actually sold service or maintenance solutions to customers.
This is not a purely office-based account management position. You will be expected to actively develop customer relationships, identify opportunities and travel across the UK to meet customers.
Why This Role?
This is an opportunity to play a key role in developing a growing service business, with the freedom to build relationships, identify opportunities and develop a structured approach to service sales.
You will work closely with experienced service, engineering and commercial teams and will be supported with training on the company's systems and internal processes.
If you have experience selling HVAC, building services or technical engineering solutions and want a role where you can make a genuine impact on the development of a UK-wide service sales operation, we'd like to hear from you.
Please note: Due to the level of sector-specific experience required, applications from candidates without previous experience within HVAC, building services or a closely related technical engineering environment are unlikely to be suitable.
