SALES MANAGER - EVENTS
BRISTOL | HYBRID - MINIMUM 3 DAYS IN THE OFFICE
£45,000-£50,000 BASIC + UNCAPPED COMMISSION
EXPECTED COMMISSION £15,000-£20,000 + BENEFITS

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Get Recruited is partnering with a growing B2B media and events business to recruit an Event Sales Manager. You'll sell sponsorship and exhibition opportunities across an expanding events portfolio, building commercial partnerships with brands, agencies and technology businesses.

This opportunity would suit a Sponsorship Sales Manager or Business Development Manager who enjoys combining new business with key account growth. You'll own your revenue target, receive support from the Portfolio Director and have opportunities to progress within a growing sales team.

THE EVENT SALES MANAGER ROLE:

• Take ownership of sponsorship and exhibition sales across an established events portfolio, with opportunities to support new launches and develop fresh commercial partnerships.

• Manage a portfolio of major accounts, building relationships with senior decision-makers and understanding their priorities, budgets and reasons for investing in events.

• Apply the consultative approach of a Sponsorship Sales Manager or Business Development Manager to turn discovery conversations into tailored proposals with clear commercial value.

• Identify prospective exhibitors and sponsors, using phone, email and LinkedIn outreach to reach relevant contacts and create new sales opportunities.

• Qualify inbound enquiries, establish client objectives and recommend suitable opportunities across the portfolio, maintaining momentum from initial interest through to a decision.

• Bring the negotiation and closing skills of a Sponsorship Sales Manager or Business Development Manager to secure contracts and achieve your individual revenue target.

• Grow existing client spend through renewals, additional sponsorship opportunities and partnerships spanning multiple events, while maintaining strong relationships throughout the sales cycle.

• Keep HubSpot records current, track activity and deal progress, and provide reliable forecasts so the wider team has a clear view of expected revenue.

• Attend relevant industry events to meet prospective partners, strengthen existing relationships and develop your understanding of customers' changing commercial needs.

• Work closely with the Portfolio Director and wider sales team, sharing ideas and market insight while taking responsibility for your own pipeline and results.

THE PERSON:

• Experience as an Event Sales Manager, Sponsorship Sales Manager or Business Development Manager, with a strong B2B sales track record.

• Proven success achieving revenue targets, winning new customers and increasing spend within existing accounts.

• Confidence prospecting, presenting proposals and negotiating with senior decision-makers and budget holders.

• Strong organisation, accurate CRM management and the ability to balance prospecting with account development.

• A proactive, resilient approach and confidence working towards individual commercial targets.

• Events, sponsorship or media sales experience is desirable. An interest in digital media and a willingness to learn the market are important.
