Job Description:
Coba Education is working in partnership with a supportive and inclusive primary school in the NN1 area to recruit an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher (QTS) to lead and run the school’s SEN unit on a long‑term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEN specialist who is confident working with pupils with complex needs and is looking to take ownership of a specialist provision within a mainstream setting.
The Role:
- Leading and managing the day‑to‑day running of the SEN unit within the school
- Delivering differentiated, engaging lessons tailored to pupils with additional and complex needs
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties
- Working closely with the SENCO, senior leadership team and support staff
- Creating a structured, nurturing and inclusive learning environment
- Monitoring pupil progress and contributing to individual support plans
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Confidence running a small SEN provision or specialist unit
- Excellent behaviour management and communication skills
- A calm, patient and proactive approach
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and SEN leadership
