Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join our team from September to support a pupil in our mixed Year 3/4 class.

This role involves working closely with a child who has an EHCP and is currently awaiting a diagnosis of Autism (ASD) and ADHD. The pupil presents with significant social communication, sensory, and mental health needs, and requires consistent, nurturing and structured support throughout the school day.

• Provide 1:1 tailored support to meet the pupil's individual needs
• Support the pupil's emotional regulation, social communication, and engagement in learning
• Assist in implementing strategies outlined in the EHCP
• Work collaboratively with the class teacher and SENCo to adapt learning activities within the KS2 curriculum
• Create a safe, supportive and inclusive environment
• Support with transitions and sensory needs throughout the day
• Monitor and record progress, providing feedback to staff and parents where appropriate

We are looking for someone who:

• Has proven experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASD and/or ADHD
• Demonstrates strong understanding of social communication and sensory needs
• Has knowledge or experience of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• Is patient, empathetic, and resilient, with a calm and positive approach
• Can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
• Is proactive and able to use initiative alongside following guidance
