Senior Civil Engineer - Drainage, Highways & Infrastructure | Development Projects
I'm currently working with a growing, multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy looking to appoint a Senior Civil Engineer to support their expanding Infrastructure / Property team.
This is a great opportunity to join a well-established business delivering residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the UK.
The Role
You'll take a lead role in the design and delivery of civil infrastructure projects, covering drainage, highways and development infrastructure schemes from planning through to construction.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead design of drainage (SuDS, surface & foul), levels, earthworks and external works
- Deliver highways design (S38 / S278) and infrastructure layouts
- Manage projects through feasibility, planning, detailed design and construction stages
- Produce and review technical drawings using AutoCAD & Civil 3D
- Work with MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage for modelling and strategy design
- Liaise with local authorities, LLFAs, water companies and the Environment Agency
- Support and mentor Graduate Engineers and Junior Engineers
- Coordinate with internal teams across transport planning, structural and environmental disciplines
Requirements
- Experience within a UK consultancy delivering development infrastructure / civil engineering projects
- Strong technical background in drainage design, SuDS, highways and external works
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage or InfoDrainage
- Experience with planning applications, Section Agreements (S104, S106, S38, S278)
- Confident managing projects and client relationships
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Working towards or already achieved ICE Chartership (IEng/CEng) desirable
