The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading engineering organisation to support a specialist design office delivering innovative tooling solutions for early-stage nuclear decommissioning operations. You will play a key role in developing engineering solutions that directly support critical project delivery.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Design and develop specialised mechanical tooling to support operational and retrieval activities
• Produce comprehensive engineering outputs including technical documentation and specifications
• Generate design packages ready for manufacture and installation, incorporating drawings and supporting documentation
• Work closely with senior engineering leadership to deliver project objectives and technical solutions
• Ensure all work complies with relevant standards, procedures, and engineering best practice

You will have the following qualifications and experience

• HNC, HND, degree or equivalent qualification in mechanical or related engineering discipline
• Proven experience delivering detailed design packages for manufacturing and installation
• Strong knowledge of engineering standards, procedures, and regulated working environments
• Experience producing technical documentation such as drawings, method statements, and risk assessments
• Ideally, exposure to complex or hazardous environments such as decommissioning or legacy facilities
