📢 Senior Payroll Advisor | £35,000–£40,000 | 18-Month FTC

📍 Romford, Essex | 🏡 4 days working from home

I'm working with a leading professional services firm looking for an experienced Senior Payroll Advisor to join its established payroll team on a six-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong payroll professional who enjoys managing complex client payrolls, resolving challenging queries and acting as a trusted advisor.

🔎 What will you be doing?

• Managing end-to-end weekly, monthly and annual payrolls across a varied client portfolio.
• Handling complex pay arrangements, including benefits, share schemes, pensions and international assignments.
• Overseeing HMRC submissions, statutory reporting, compliance and year-end processes.
• Advising clients on payroll legislation, holiday pay and statutory payments.
• Supporting system implementations, client onboarding and mentoring junior colleagues.

✅ What are we looking for?

• Recent, hands-on client payroll experience within a bureau or professional services environment is essential.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, pensions and compliance.
• Experience managing multiple payrolls and resolving complex queries.
• Excellent communication and client management skills.
• CIPP qualification or equivalent experience.

Experience with IRIS Payroll Professional would be advantageous but isn't essential.
