Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential

I’m working with an established London contractor specialising in high-quality residential projects. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.

The contractor delivers complex refurbishment and renovation projects across London, working on high-end private residences and period properties. This role offers the opportunity to take commercial ownership of projects from pre-construction through to final account.

The role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the commercial performance of residential refurbishment projects

• Preparing budgets, cost plans and tender documentation

• Procuring and negotiating subcontractor packages

• Managing valuations, variations and change control

• Producing cost reports, forecasts and cash-flow updates

• Monitoring project costs, risks and profitability

• Agreeing subcontractor and client final accounts

• Providing commercial support to project and site teams

• Building strong relationships with clients, consultants and subcontractors

The ideal candidate

You will have:

• Strong experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor

• A background in residential, high-end residential or specialist fit-out

• Experience managing the full commercial lifecycle of projects

• Good knowledge of construction contracts, procurement and cost control

• Strong negotiation and stakeholder-management skills

• A commercially focused and detail-oriented approach

• A relevant degree or professional qualification

Experience working on complex London refurbishments, prime residential properties or listed buildings would be particularly advantageous.
