Senior Quantity Surveyor

Conrad Consulting is currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established construction consultancy in the North East of England.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of major projects across the energy, renewables, power and infrastructure sectors, supporting the delivery of complex and technically challenging schemes.
Our client is looking for a commercially astute Senior Quantity Surveyor who can take ownership of projects, build strong client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of their business.
Key Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity SurveyorProvide full pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services across major energy and infrastructure projects.
Manage project costs, budgets, forecasting and financial reporting.
Prepare cost estimates, tender documentation and procurement strategies.
Administer contracts, including NEC forms of contract.
Manage valuations, variations, change control and final accounts.
Identify commercial risks and implement effective cost management strategies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
Support and mentor junior members of the commercial team.
Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a construction consultancy environment.
Previous exposure to energy, renewables, power, utilities or major infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
Experience delivering both pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying services.
Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.
MRICS qualification would be advantageous, although not essential.
Excellent commercial awareness, communication and client-facing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
Competitive salary of £60,000 – £70,000 depending on experience.
