Job Description:

Freelance Site Manager – Traditional Build | Pulborough

Location: Pulborough, West Sussex
Rate: £280–£300 per day
Duration: 6 months minimum, with potential for a permanent position

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a traditional build residential development in Pulborough. The site is currently at varying stages of completion, so we need a strong, hands-on Site Manager who can take ownership of the build programme, drive standards and deliver a high-quality finished development.

This is a key site-based role and would suit an experienced Number 1 Site Manager who has successfully run a large PLC housebuilding scheme from start to finish.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Number 1 Site Manager on large-scale PLC housebuilding developments.
• Strong traditional build experience.
• Experience managing sites through multiple stages of construction and completion.
• Ideally, previous experience working on PIJ schemes.
• A strong and demonstrable track record in Health & Safety – this is absolutely critical.
• Excellent management of subcontractors, trades and site teams.
• Strong programme, quality and delivery management skills.
• The confidence and ability to take full ownership of a site and drive it forward.
• A stable career history with a good track record of long-term assignments and successful developments.

Essential qualifications:

• SMSTS
• CSCS Black Card
• First Aid

We are looking for someone who is genuinely exceptional on site – commercially aware, highly organised, proactive and uncompromising when it comes to Health & Safety, quality and build standards.

£280–£300 per day, depending on experience.

The initial requirement is for a minimum of 6 months, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right person.
