Teaching Assistant (Primary School)

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistant to join a friendly primary school in Bromborough. This is a temporary position with the opportunity to become longer-term for the right candidate, offering an excellent chance to gain valuable experience while supporting pupils across the school.

About the Role

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to help them achieve their learning goals.
• Assist in creating a positive, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
• Encourage pupil confidence, independence and participation in learning.
• Support classroom routines, behaviour management and learning resources.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

What We're Looking For

• Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential).
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Safeguarding awareness with a good understanding of child protection responsibilities.
• A patient, positive and adaptable approach to supporting children.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
