Job Description:

Arden White Aerospace and Defence Recruitment are currently with a leading manufacturer in the Stockport area.
 
We are currently recruiting for a Technical Support Engineer paying in the region of £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
 
Role Purpose
The Technical Support Engineer is the first line of expert help for customers, distributors and site engineers.
To keep customers' systems working safely and reliably by resolving technical issues quickly and accurately
The role provides post-sales technical support
The engineer turns field problems into clear fixes, documentation and product feedback
They support onsite engineers by phone and email, and train clients and engineers to commission, configure, calibrate and maintain systems in line with relevant standards.


Key Responsibilities
Customer and partner support

• Provide live technical support by phone and email to engineers working on site, guiding them through installation, commissioning, fault-finding and calibration.
• Respond to customer technical queries by phone, email, logging every case in a support system.
• Diagnose faults on gas detectors & controllers and guide customers to a fix.
• Escalate unresolved or safety-critical issues with full fault data and evidence.

 
Key skills required:

• Ideally have an engineering background to be able to understand products
• Previous Technical Support experience is advantageous
